FAIRPLAY BRANDS, The Sharp Project

June 2024 - August 2025

Fashion Production Assistant

Assisting in design, merchandising and garment tech through which I learned a lot about garment design and fit, adapting a spec and communicating regarding the fit, fabric and trims. I quickly developed relationships with suppliers and buyers and within three months I was managing my own accounts. Within this, I placed orders by raising POs, creating and following critical paths, establishing clear communication with both suppliers and buyers and ensuring time lines are followed over long periods. Working with freight companies and booking cargo in to ensure the goods are delivered on time. I also ordered samples and took detail specifications before returning, and keeping organised records of all samples and receipts. The accounts I looked after were sold in discount retailers like M&M Direct, therefore I was working with negotating prices to achieve 40% margin, working with suppliers and our designers to find ways to cut costs while still having a good quality end product.
